Special Savings Investment Accounts (SSIA's)
Did
you know that if you are a holder of an SSIA, you
must submit a declaration to your SSIA provider in

one month after your last payment. This declaration
will be issued by your SSIA provider three months

and return to your SSIA provider.
Self Employed Class S PRSI refund due ?
Did you know that if you are a public
servant paying PRSI under Class B, C or D and employed
under a contract dated before 6 April 1995 then you
are excluded from paying self employed PRSI under
Class S. This rule has applied since 6 April 2001,
as this is the date the earnings ceiling for self
employed Class S PRSI was removed. If you were contracted
as a public servant prior to 6 April 1995 and have
paid both Class S and Class B, C or D, then you should
apply for a refund of the Class S PRSI contributions
made by you in respect of the relevant tax years,
possibly 2001, 2002 and 2003.
